If you mean totally different versions, then I would guess 5. However, it must be at least double that if one is counting more than one copy of a version. They make excellent gifts!

    - must have the CDs somewhere (boxed separate),
    - two digital versions of the vanilla game (GOG),
    - bought the BG:EE Steam version when it released
    - and about five minutes ago I became the proud owner of digital copies of BG:EE and BG2:EE via GOG

I prefer GOG over Steam especially for modding purposes.

    and the Enhanced.

    Original boxed versions.

Digital versions from the Gamestop app (it came in a bundle with a bunch of other games)

    Enhanced Editions through Beamdog.

    Same goes for Icewind Dale.

I think Ill pick them all up on Steam too during the winter sale, Redundancy ftw!

Ok. I bought BG twice. Once in the original box with he 5 CDs, map and manuals wbut never bought totsc.

I bought bg2 three times. First time when it was first released. A second time was the one that came with the soundtrack, once the discs were scratched beyond repair. Those CDs again got scratched and crashed to desktop every time I attempted to go into he thieves guild. I bought Throne of Bhaal separately as well. Then of course the EEs.

    So 2.5 times

    I think it's five.
    BG1 & TosTC as big boxes, 5dcs & 1
SoA & ToB together as 2 DVDs
Four in 1 box set when I fancied playing again and couldn't bear all the disc swapping.
EE from Steam initially, then I bought a copy from Beamdog intending to mod that one while keeping the Steam as a vanilla fallback.
1 digital SoA from Beamdog rather than Steam.

    - Boxed originals 1+2 from years and years back. And in German language, coo! (1)
    - Beamdog EE version. (2)

    = 2x the series, or 4x a game.

@Dee If you count what I have bought, not what I kept, I had 7-8 EE's, 4 GOGs, 2 Original BG 1 + 2... The rest are basically the same.

    1. boxed versions of the Mac ports of the original BG1 and BG2 + expansions

    2. I bought one of the GOG D&D bundles shortly before the EEs were unveiled which included BG 1 & 2 plus expansions

    3. Purchased BGEE and BG2EE from Beamdog
I also have Icewind Dale (twice), IWD HoW, IWD 2, and Planescape (twice).

    @typo_tilly Neat topic idea!

What's this Baldur's Gate game? Never heard about it before.
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
I have both EEs on Beamdog and the originals from GoG besides both IWD and PS:T from GoG. I think the 5-CD version of the original BG1 for Macintosh might somewhere in my house… that if nobody trashed it,
