I’ve been thinking of doing it for a long time.

@elminster back in August 2013 made four indexes:
User Help and General Suggestions ,
Gameplay (Part 1), Gameplay (Part 2) and Sound and Graphics and Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Ever since then (i.e August 2013) feature requests have been simply coming, without any indexing and order.

This thread is to change that!

    I also had a request to have Composite Longbows that scale with Strength as well.

    That isn't engine-doable without using a script which would clutter the game (and because of this it's better to be left to the modding scene).

    How does an already existing item flag, that can be applied to any item, require special scripting???? (It literally takes like 5 seconds in Near Infinity to click a check box).

    Heck vanilla Bg1 already had str scaling bows.

    OR if you'd rather it be as close to to PNP as possible without any fancy stuff, just make specific Copies of Composite bows, that have their base damage bonus pre-set and simply require minimum amount of strength to have that damage bonus (so a +6 bonus needs 18/00 or higher), since you take a large damage penalty anyway if your strength isn't sufficient to draw the bow properly (If memory serves, if your strength is less then the minimum needed, you actually lose damage equal to the maximum str bonus the bow gave).

    Though IMO, just giving them the use str flag and an appropriate minimum str requirement is all they really need.

    Though Composite Short bows are supposed to cap at a maximum of +2 damage, no matter what, so those you could make just 16 (+1 damage)/18 str (+2 damage) requirements without the strength scaling flag, and then for Composite longbows, not worry about the upper damage cap and just give them a 16+ str requirement and str scaling flag.

    That would be the simpliest and most acceptable compromise between what it could be and should be.

    Can I make another request, to implement the Staff-Sling? It has recently come up in conversation on another thread about allowable weapons for mages. It's basically a staff with a sling on the end, useless in close quarters. It's in the 2e handbook, and I can upload the stats here.

    Staff sling Cost 2 sp, Weight: 2 lbs, Size M, Speed Factor 11 (worse than any other Weapon than a pole arm or two-handed sword!) Firing rate 2 stones/bullets per round- same as a bow) Uses sling bullets/stones.

    Writeup (from the Arms and Equipment Guide); Also called a Fustibulus, a staff-sling consista of a wooden rod, three or four fert long, with a sling attached to one end. The rod is used to increase the range that a heavy object can be thrown by enabling the slinger to twirl the sling harder. It is not meant to increase the distance of the average sling bullet. In fact, it has poorer range for stones or bullets.

    It mentions the possibility of using ir for grenade-type weapons, mainly Stink Pots, which cause a "Stinking Cloud" type effect. If you want, I can include that information, too, but unless you are considering adding it to the game…

    I made a suggestion some time ago here http://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/25710/bg2ee-unique-holy-symbols-for-cleric-npcs#latest

    Basically I just thought the NPC clerics should get a unique holy symbol at level 25 (one to match their respective patron deities) and not just the generic ones. Apparently it's already a part of some mod, but I still think it would be a nice addition to BG2EE.
