Quayle is a balanced character who's quite effective in combat. Just give him an archmage robe , mage and cleric wands and a magical sling+bullets, and his illusions will do the rest. (View Post)

You could dual a level 2 specialist for the saving throw modifiers and access to wands , then move on with your cleric life. (View Post)
