when i look back at the crpg rebirth of the 2nd half of the 2010's i notice i only liked 4 of them.
those were: shadow run dragonfall, hong kong, torment tides of numanara, and disco elysium.

the main thing is 5th edition has epc levels at around 20 instead of 40. so to us oldies these characters don't seem to fit a low level adventure they seem like they should be in the 12 range. (View Post)3 -

the most wacky characters were the gnomes. which caused a stereotype in itself as now every gnome in a rpg had to be weird. and that made grobnar exist and i hate it. (View Post)2 -
