Horses despite not being as strong can plough faster than oxen. Not as certain about bulls, which have also been used in some areas, but have their more agressive natures. (View Post)

Sure, a trained fighting horse would be, but an old plough horse? I don't think they'd take a rider without retraining. Certainly could be cheaper to get an ox though, never seen records to compare! (View Post)
