Revanek of the Twisted Rune

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I assume it is deliberate since it was never changed.
I noticed in one of the BG2:EE screenshots that shows the fight against the Twisted Rune in the Athkatla bridge district that the fighter Revanek still appears to have no equipment.
Revanek is a 19th level fighter that awards 6000xp when killed, and he is part of a group of very powerful individuals, yet he has no equipment what so ever. A fighter without a weapon can't do much more than scream curses against an armed group of adventurers, he is not a challenge and therefore shouldn't grant any experience.
What I'm asking is that you give him some equipment to make him worthy of actually being part of the encounter. It doesn't have to be anything extreme, basic +1 weapons and armor would make him much more challenging (don't forget to give him some weapon proficiencies as well).
