Change item attribute bonuses from set numbers to additional ones

Currently there are a number of items which give a bonus to attributes. These all share a problem in that they change your stats to a set amount rather than offering a bonus, leading to them being overpowered or cheesy. An example of this would be starting bg2ee with charisma 3 only to then pick up the Ring of Human Influence to increase it to 18. Others include the various strength items which effectively render natural strength redundant for much of the game.

For greater balance and relevance of natural attributes wouldn't it be better to just add a bonus instead? Gauntlets of Ogre Power would increase strength by one rather than setting to 18/00, Girdle of Hill Giant Strength increase by 2, Crom Faeyr by 5, etc. There's a mod which already does this (Item Revisions?) amongst other things, but it should be in the original game.

I agree, an increese (or reduction) is better than set numbers. I don't believe they will make any changes to the game though; guess we will have to stick to Item Revisions for such a thing.
