Improve "greater" HLA's

Apologies in advance if this request has already been made, I had a quick glance through the forums but didn't see it.

I never understood why you are given the option to choose the "standard" version of a HLA after you have unlocked a "greater" version (e.g. Whirlwind, death blow and evasion). Perhaps this could be adjusted so these abilities are replaced by the upgraded version when the HLA is chosen instead of given an additional greater ability. That way you don't have that one ability that never gets used.

Additionally, it would be nice to have some sort of counter in the HLA screen to show you how many times a character has chosen a particular ability.
