no more Ankheg Plate Armour?

This is what I'm having for BG: Tales of Sword Coast bought from gog.com
version 1.3.5521

I was trying to find it at Naskell on a farm mentioned in http://lparchive.org/Baldurs-Gate/Update 5/ but it is no where to be found.

Is this resulted from a patch or something?

No, it is resulted from you looking in the wrong spot.

i went to same spot as on article from my 1st post & tried pressing tab, no container of any sort found.

pressing tab does not highlight containers/box/barrel etc.

Well, you're playing a different version of the game from everyone else here. I'm pretty sure at some point the game removed some or all of the secret treasure troves, so if you have that version of the game, you're out of luck.

The TAB option doesn't work with the original BG/TotSC, hence why it doesn't work for you.
    It was introduced in BGII.

The armor should still be in your game though, as it was always there in the original.
It's a very tiny spot though, so without the TAB option, you really have to look hard for it.

    -edit-

Here's a screen of exactly where it is.

It's still there, you're just not finding it. Though it's incredibly easy to overlook in the original without the highlight function, because the rock it's under it's literally 1 pixel big and doesn't stand out at all. I know exactly where it is, and I still fumble around looking for it.

Unless your version doesn't include TotSC (though I'm pretty sure that release does)...all those extra items were snuck in in TotSC. If you were able to find the Ring of Wizardry, then the armor is there, you just need to look more carefully.

I still have the original discs and the game installed on a Windows 95 PC, Pentium 133. It has never crashed on me in all the years of playing!
It works golden on Win 7 as well. I've even got two sets of discs, because you can never be sure ;)

Dude, I paid $40 for mine back in the day. I've also bought several copies over the years. Casualties in moves and lending and the like. I think BG:EE is my fourth copy of the game?
