I may have missed the keep's messenger

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I haven’t noticed a runner from the de'Arnise keep since I let Bolumar set up shop... and that was a while ago. The problem is that I'm playing on a Galaxy Tab S7. Is there a way to respawn the messenger so I can continue the stronghold quest? I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thank you in advance.

    Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will weigh in with some help.

    But FWIW, you don’t always *need* the messenger.
    This quest is notoriously buggy. And honestly, I’ve had it malfunction more times than it’s run all the way through. But often, if you just check back in at the keep the next sub-quest will be ready for you. Just talk to the Major Domo, he’ll tell you if he has anything for you. A few prompts do *need* the messenger to advance I believe. But not all of them.
