Gnome illusionist/thief, necromancy spells and UAI

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
If I’m playing a gnome illusionist thief, or Jan Jansen is in my party, when I select the Use Any Item thief high level ability, will I be able to scribe necromancy spells into my spellbook? If so, will I be able to cast them?

    You may be able to use them via quickslot, i have my doubts you can scribe them tho.

    For non-EE :

    can't scribe, its hard coded into the Illusionist (a type of true class).

    UAI will allow you to cast via scroll, though.
