Steam Workshop - potential bug with module haks

When loading a saved game, NWN has always ignored the original module, but reloads the haks etc.

No problem.

However, Steam Workshop automatically updates haks if they are changed.

So, if a module and its haks are updated on the Workshop, this will break saved games unless the new haks are 100% compatible with the old versions of the module.

I'm working on a new release where this looks like a significant issue.

By doing some extra work, I might be able to work around it.

All the same, players might be well advised to play offline until they've finished the current module.

    The main reason I have this problem is that I have been using a hak to provide cumulative bug fixes to the module and saved games.

    In the next release, the fixes are incorporated in the module, so the bug fix hak is empty.

    My solution to the Steam Workshop update problem is
    • Rename the bug fix hak in the new release, so that it doesn't overwrite anything
    • Include the old bug fix hak in the Steam Workshop item, even though it's no longer used by the module, so that saved games will still work.
