Banter in the middle of combat

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
It happens quite often. You're in the middle of a fight and suddenly somebody decides that's the perfect moment to start an interesting conversation, so the game stops the fight to bring that completely unrelated conversation. Has this been reported or addressed?

    Yeah, usually between Ano and Jaheira just as one of them are casting a spell. These two loves to nip at each other.

    i never really had this happen in bg2. sod however is a different story.
