Importing Characters and EQUIPMENT from Black Pits 1 into Black Pits 2?

If I import characters from Black Pits 1 into Black Pits 2, will their items also carry over?

    The equipment will carry over to the starting scene, but will then be stripped from the characters before they can enter any arena fights. You'll have to start over from scratch equipment-wise.

    Yep, pretty much this. In addition, some of the old BG1 voicesets do not carry over, so you wind up with characters that are completely mute. All things considered, it's probably easier just to re-create your party in BP2.
    That said, it's also kind of fun just to see how well your BP1 party deals with the initial fight in BP2. Winning it, however, is a near impossible task if you're importing them straight from the end of Black Pits 1.
