Show Pregenerated Characters will not shut off

It does not matter if you check or do not check the show pregenerated characters box. They are always there. I have tried deleting them but they are just replaced with an update. I would like to either have them not appear or be deleted for good.

    apparently the IE games cannot run without them, for some weird reason beamdog thought this was a good idea, i've heard plenty a rumor of others trying to delete them for good and all it did was is wreck their game

    the ONLY way you can kind of get rid of them is to replace them with your own characters, so at least you are looking at characters you made instead of some random characters no one cares about

    Which platform are we talking about?

    Under Windows, latest EE Retail release 1.79.8193.5, the Show Pregenerated Characters checkbox works fine.

    That is exactly what I am using and it does not work.

    I just went and tried it again. They will not disappear not matter if you check the box or leave it unchecked.

    I reported this and I received a reply. It is now listed as a game bug.
