Unseeing Eye is unseen

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I've emptied the lair, assembled the rod, been through the lair to find the beholder and he is not there.

    I saw an old thread with this problem, someone claimed they went upstairs to the area with Gaal and it was lurking and could be killed. Worth checking if that fixes it, could be a glitch that caused it to appear up there (evil path spawns it up there if you hand the rod to Gaal) rather than in the beholder lair level.

    Well Gaal seems to think we killed it.

    Hmm, ok, well if you have the console activated you can try spawning it:

    C:CreateCreature("BHEYE") but i did see a few old posts saying that it didn't work.

    if that doesn't work try dropping the completed rift device then consoling in both parts, hopefully it'll trigger them to combine and spawn the Eye.

    C:CreateItem("misc5a")
    C:CreateItem("misc5b")

    Hopefully one of those options will work.

    Hello - I am having a problem where the unseeing eye never spawned once the device was completed, and now i can't complete the quest. is there a way to fix this?

    edit: just spawned the creature and it fixed it. thanks.
