Glitterdust - what am I missing?

April 2020 in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

I've got Dynaheir casting Glitterdust, and though the spell description says the range is 30 ft., she walks up to the enemy and casts it like it's a touch spell. Needless to say, this limits its usefulness. What am I missing?
