Darkness over Daggerfurd crashing, would it help if I re-installed NWN:ee

I'm just starting the module and the game keeps crashing over at the exact same points, when trying to enter Lathander's Temple, going up the stairs in the Sorcellor's Encapsulate, and out the front door of Chateau Elite Inn. Not a great start. Does anyone think I should re-install NWN:ee from the gog galaxy client instead of the separate installer would help?

    I re-downloaded and re-installed NWN:ee from gog, and that fixed all my problems so far. I didn't need to use galaxy and instead could use the separate installer. I believe that the patch on gog for non galaxy users might be old or something, and the only way to get the most resent version of the game is to download the new installer re-install the game. But I'm only speculating on that.
