Conversation Editor: Does it have a word limit?

I've begun writing an conversation using the word editor and it's not letting me type more letters.
Does it have a character limit or am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to bypass it.

    How did you do it, so I can avoid encountering this problem myself further down the line?
