Can multi and dual class characters get a different stronghold if they lose the first?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
If I lose D'arnise keep on a fighter/mage dual or multiclass, can I then take the planar sphere by completing Valygar's quest?

    Getting kicked out of a stronghold does not reset the "PlayerHasStronghold" variable the game uses. So no, you can't replace a stronghold you lost with a new one.

    If you just want a way to experience several ones in one game then the Tweaks Anthology has a component that allows you to have several strongholds for multiclasses (and I presume duals)
