Dlc Merger questions

I am well aware that for a Gog installation I need to run the Merger in BG1 before installing mods.

Do I need to do the same in BG2 before installing EET and/or other mods?

    No, as far as I am aware it exists specifically to merge SoD with BG1.

    I'm afraid that I don't understand it but just do as people advise.
    (I don't know what a dlc is :/
