It's so annoying that these gems aren't good for selling. By lore, they should be highly valuable.

Why did Bioware add an option to kill Jarlaxle and then continue working under the assumption that you wouldn't pick up the prize of this whole adventure?
It's also a plot item, so you can't even get the one gold piece that they are set to cost.

I want to edit them, but I'm not sure what a good price would be. What do you think?

    i never knew it was possible to kill jarlaxle, is your game modded?

    No mod needed. You just say you're going to kill him for manipulating you, and then confirm your decision.

    how do you escape his plane? do you just leave as soon as he dies?

    although the last time i tried to pick a fight with him was back in the SoA vanilla days ( before ToB was out), and no matter what i said i couldn't pick a fight and his response was;

    frustrating isn't it?

    then he would continue on his normal banter

    Yeah, you are teleported back when he and Visaj are dead.
    Autopause is the best tool to ensure you get to collect the loot. Before EE and ranged-looting, I would always make sure to kill Jarlaxle first since Visaj isn't carrying anything of value.
