Candlekeep in Prologue and Chapter 6 Share Containers?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
If I leave items in a container like a barrel, chest or dresser in Candlekeep in Prologue, will I be able to recover those items when I return to Candlekeep in Chapter 6? I know Prologue and Chapter 6 use two different identical maps for Candlekeep, but do they share the same containers?

    Containers are part of the map data so no.

    They're not shared. However, there's a system of variables used to create the illusion; if you take an item from a container in the prologue, it won't be there in chapter 6.

    Items you place in a container definitely won't come back, though.
