Unable to run WeiDU for modding Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition on macOS Sonoma with M3 Mac

Heya! I'm trying to install mods for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition on my Mac M3 running Sonoma. I've placed the WeiDU executable in my game directory and made it executable with `chmod +x weidu`, but every time I try to run it through Terminal, I get `zsh: killed` and the process immediately terminates.
I've already:
- Installed Rosetta 2
- Verified I'm in the correct directory
- Made weidu executable with proper permissions
- Tried both direct WeiDU commands and Mac WeiDU Launcher v8
When using Mac WeiDU Launcher, I get the error: `Killed: 9` when it tries to execute WeiDU.
Is there a version of WeiDU that works with Apple Silicon (M3) and macOS Sonoma? Or is there another recommended approach for modding Baldur's Gate EE on modern Macs?
Thanks
