Cache of the Mind Flayer Slaves in the Eastern Tunnels

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
right after you free them, theres a dialogue with the Leader of Slaves and he mentions something about finding his Cache and giving you something from it as a reward for helping them. however, the Captured by Mind Flayers quest ends with no more clues or mention about that cache.

whats the deal, is it a thing, can it be found later on? or.. not?

    Afaik, there is no follow-up or discoverable cache tied to this specific promise in the game. The quest concludes, and no additional leads, locations, or rewards are given for the cache of "the Leader of Slaves".
    Over the years, the conclusion was, this is either a cut or unfinished piece of content, or simply flavour dialogue that was never implemented.
