this game is the pits

Bundled in with SoA and ToB is a game called The Black Pit. I see that there is no actual forum for this game. Does anyone even play this? And if so, what is the point of it? It seems like a random piece of nonsense to me.

.....Err, which two modules? SoA and ToB? OK, if you go to Steam and buy the Baldur's Gate games, there are several available. The first is Baldur's Gate, which is a low level campaign. Shadows of Ahm is a mid level one, and Throne of Bhaal is the high level end game. It is possible to run a core group of adventuerers through all 3 games in one continuous campaign. Your guys start off at level 1 and end up around 30+.
.....Bundled in with these is something called The Black Pit, which seems to be a stand alone game that is basically centered around a group of 6 adventurers who are kidnapped and forced to participate in gladiatorial games held in an arena. It has no relationship to the other 3 games, but also there seems to me to be no real purpose or driving theme for this game. Nor, as I mentioned, is there even a dedicated forum for it. Meanwhile, the BG 1 and BG2 forums are fairly active. Hence my curiosity about whether anyone in the Steam community even plays it.
Personally I thought The Black Pits 1 and 2 were great, and an inventive way to see how your character would progress from starting to max level in a relatively short time before commiting to a 50-100 hour playthrough.
Would pay for a full fledged, standalone, Black Pits 3.
