Imoen bugged?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
just leveled up Imoen to level 16 and was given 1 extra spell for level 6, 7,&8, no problem with level 6 but on level 7&8 spells no spells were listed, thought solve this i will rest but no made no difference any body else come across this please.

    Do you have any 7th or 8th level spells in her spell book?

    Indeed. Mages in this game don't automatically learn spells when they unlock a new spell level; the only ways to add to their spellbooks are at character creation and by learning from a scroll. So you can have empty spell memorization slots and nothing to fill them with.

    Presumably BG2EE, but newbies posting in the wrong forums is nothing new.

    (If it were actually BGEE, Imoen wouldn't know any level 6 spells. No level 6 scrolls before BG2)

    Aren't some levels 6 spell scrolls available in the SoD part?
    I asked because the other day on Discord someone posted about an high amount of XP in BGEE using XP cap removal.

    You can get level 6 divine spells in SoD, because the druid XP curve allows that. Or if you lift the XP cap, a sorcerer can get anything but HLAs (and Wish/Limited Wish don't work because the genies aren't set up). But there are no level 6+ arcane spell scrolls available in BGEE/SoD unless you mod things.

    no, no spells what so ever

    So you need to make her scribe scrolls.

    You need to acquire and scribe the scrolls so Imoen will have the spell to learn.
