SCS + Legacy of bhaal?

Hi,

I want to try scs for the first time. But i also prefer legacy of bhaal.
How does theese work together? It does not seem like scs is made for this difficulty and more based on inzane difficulty.
Anyone know?

SCS is designed around ‘fair’ improvements to enemy behavior, while Legacy of Bhaal is more of a brute-force, unfair boost to enemy stats. The two work together without issue — the only real clash is the same one LoB already has with itself (why is your heroic protagonist so much weaker than random goblins?).

Okay, i thought it messed with AI since that one seems based on slider?

Well, you come untrained out into the wild and meet goblins and bears etc. Ofc you have to be smart about it to succeed ^^

Anyway, wanted more challenge. Want to play my Succumb shaman solo. Will restrict xp by like 30%. The kit is to strong. So figured scs + lob would be fun if they worked together.

It does update the AI. Since you'll be locked into LoB, you'll be getting the hardest versions of SCS's options.
Harder difficulties don't translate to smarter opponents though. Instead, your opponents will be upgraded with some nasty abilities that you might not enjoy.
Let's use Beholders as an example:
BASIC: Beholders use mostly their less-lethal eyestalks (Charm, Fear, Domination, Paralysis, Cause wounds, Slow) and do not use their magic-suppressing central eye. Hive Mothers use only their weaker magic.
IMPROVED: Beholders also use their central eye against mages and party defenses. Hive Mothers use their full range of spells.
TACTICAL: Beholders use their Death, Petrification and Telekinesis eyestalks; they use the Telekinesis eyestalk to steal some party items (notably the Shield of Balduran, if you have it).
HARDCORE: Beholders steal items slightly more quickly.
INSANE: Beholders use their Disintegrate eyestalk.

You'll find more information in the readme.

    Beholders:
Pixie dust - nature peace - meteor shower

The big issue i see is mindflayers, in legacy of bhaal they have like 90% magic res and 100% fire and light. And with scs they see true invisibility.
Sanctuary - magic res - nature peace, then kill.

Kangaxx is easier. Yes he is smarter but his second shape is not immune to level 6 - 9 spells…
