It says ready to play but it isn't

The beamdog downloader says that the game is ready to play, but I have no .ini file or any beamdog baldurs gate relate stuff in my documents and the 00766 folder contains Baldur.exe chitin.key decrypt.dll and folders but nothing else. Loading the game does nothing.

    Beamdog client does nothing for me either when I click play, starting the game manually with Baldur.exe worked for me though. I haven't had to do it, but i've seen some posts recommending running as admin. As for the My Documents content, having a quick look now at my own MD folder, there's a Beamdog folder now with my saves in it.

    I downloaded the BGEE.exe client and same problem it starts up but when I click play it just shuts down. I managed to start it manualy in the 0766 file using Baldur.exe once but even that will not work anymore!
