Black Screen with White Box in the middle of it.

I'm getting the screen above whenever I load up BG. I'm running an GeForce GTS 450 graphics card on Windows 7. Previously I was unable to even get the game to play until I switched compatibility to Windows Vista (SP1). Now I'm getting this error. I don't know anything about graphics cards or the programs associated with them so any help would be appreciated.

    Same here. Win 7 64bit NVIDIA NVS 4200M. I did not switch to compatibility mode and still getting black screen with white box.

    Thanks, but as soon as I launch the game it goes to that screen then I get an immediate "Baldur's Gate has stopped working" prompt. And I was wrong, I didn't change compatibility mode.

    I appreciate the effort though. :) I'm just a little upset that I can't play the game I loved so much when I was younger. But oh well, it will get fixed eventually, hopefully soon.
