not attacking when prompted

hi my guys just stand there and get beaten , but they will not attack even when the attack button is pushed any ideas ?

    I'm having a similar issue with my party. Spellcasters will just stand there even though they have scripts set up and spells to cast. Also, when they run out of spells they just stand there like dicks, rather than attacking with their equipped weapon. I also get some strange reactions to combat in general, like my fighters just deciding to run away without fear being cast.

    I really want to like this edition but it's getting right on my clams at the minute.

    How long due they stand around without attacking? Weapons with a high speed factor can take as long as 6 seconds (1 round) to attack. Also, I think re-clicking to tell them to attack again can reset the round. So I'd double check by ordering a character to attack (and waiting till the get within melee range if wielding a melee weapon) and waiting at least 6 seconds without giving them any other orders. Sorry if you knew all this already.

    Do you for sure have party AI enabled?

    just spoken to some kid then wander down the path and meet 2 Ogrillion then send in 4 attack and they just stand there , Imoen will not even use the Wand of MM ...aaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhh

    I don't know what exactly you did.
    The wand must be activated i doubt the AI script or the attack button will help there.
    I never let them reach Imoen in melee range, i just shoot them with arrows while PC, Jaheira and Khalid beats them.
