Dirgesinger Bug?
One of the things I like to do with my jester is have her cast Invisibility on herself & sit in the middle of the battlefield singing. Works great at low levels. Works a little too great as it will also work on any KO'd party members who will then raise from the dead (still with 0 HP & a grey portrait) & proceed to act as if they were alive & confused. Sometimes they lay there, sometimes they attack my party, sometimes they attack the enemy. I'm pretty sure they aren't killable in this state & while I haven't actually tried this out, I'm thinking it would let you eventually win any battle where the enemy can't see the invisible jester.
BTW, This was with the current patch, I started said game just yesterday.

Also, the Night Knives have no problems seeing my invisible jester, they just can't attack her. That may be a separate bug however.
