Cloakwood Help [spoilers]

I can't flood the mines! I killed Daevoron, he didn't drop a key. I got the end of chapter message and can go into Baldur's Gate but the mine is not flooded and it is still my only quest in 'Important events' - what am I missing?

    Did you go back to the river plug on level one?

    Have you searched his room? Maybe the key is there somewhere, and when you once got it. You have to talk to the slave by the plug.

    It might have been with the treasure back behind his bedroom? I'm sorry, I usually just loot everything and the key turns up, I don't remember exactly where.
