Human unable to dual class

I am a human fighter lvl 3 who wishes to dual class to sorceror. The option is not available. I have an 18 Intelligence.

    Expected behavior: I should be able to dual class

    Don't think you can dual to sorcerer. Also 18 intelligence doesn't matter for sorcerers because they don't have a 'primary stat'. You could have a 10 in every stat and he could cast the same amount of spells as one with an 18 in everything.

    You also need a 15 strength if you want to dual class from fighter, even though you still wouldn't be able to dual to sorceror. Dual to mage is the next best thing.

    It is impossible to dual to sorceror in BG2/BGEE.

    To me more clear, the only classes you can dual to or from are combinations that already exist as a multiclass.
