Using the latest versions for both platforms, players are unable to connect since they are listed as having different version numbers. It lists the second player as having joined and then crashes with a note that Any thoughts would be helpful! Thanks.

"The multiplayer session has been terminated. The program version numbers for the serve and client programs do not match. Server program version: v1.0.2010 Client program version v1.0.2009b"

Same here. Maybe its because patch 1.0.2010 is not signed by Apple yet?.

That's exactly it. Trent just tweeted that the update is being uploaded and it'll probably take 6 days to clear Apple approval.

Thanks zealer. That also means that crossplatform multiplayer is going to be a little difficult as the patches for the closed systems will always be a bit too late.

Well that is pretty buggered. I was going to play with a buddy of mine with the ipad version...guess we will have wait until both platforms are on par.

Hi everyone, just an update here - we have an update that's ready to roll for the iOS build, but in order to pass muster by Apple it has to be approved. As per: https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=12052012a it'll take a little bit for Apple to get to it due to the holiday season - when we can bring the platforms up to the same version, they will play together no problem.
