Beamdog client verison different to Steam

A few friends of mine just got BG EE on Steam and I can't play with them due to not having the same verison?

Is there a way to mix multiplayer across clients in PC?

    The Steam version is through Atari, rather than directly from Beamdog. I think this means that Beamdog has to submit patches to Atari, which then submits them to Steam, which then updates the game, so there will be some delay. The problem isn't on Beamdog's end; I think they've already submitted the latest patches to Atari. You'll just have to be patient.
