dual classing Druid

Heh i was wondering if there is anyway to dual class a druid in such a way as to get a kit for the druid if taking one lvl of fighter to start with? Basically, i was the fighter abilities as to beign able to put more than one point in a weapon skill and then push the druid lvls. Since Totemic does not shapeshift i was the advantages it brings since my druid would primarily cast and not shap shift. If this can not be done wil just make her a pure druid.

    Nope. Not unless you edit the save file/character with Near Infinity or Shadowkeeper.

    1 level of fighter doesn't actually add that much (and you need a minimum of 2 to dual-class). You gain access to better armor, helms, and shields (which are supposed to disable your spellcasting/special abilities for wearing non-druid permitted armor types, but currently don't due to laziness on part of the developers), slightly better HP, but that's pretty much it. And specialization for 2 druid weapon types/styles. As far as thac0 goes, priests (and druids) are only a little behind a fighter in thac0 progression. In fact a level capped single class druid in EE is only 1 thac0 less then a level capped warrior type is. Once you got to BG2, you could use the Scimitar Belm, which grants an extra attack for most of your general combat needs (only a handful of enemies require +3 and higher, most mooks require +2 at maximum. And you could wield the staff of the ram which does enough damage to equal 2 attacks against those), and due to a reasonable thac0 progression, by level 13, you could dual-wielding effectively, despite the penalty for only * two weapon style (which using belm in some capacity would allow 3 attacks, 4 under haste, or 6 under improved haste), blackblood and Gnasher make excellent MH weapons at that point. Gnasher rips up enemies that can be hit by +2, and blackblood hits as +3 and has acid damage which by-passes most protections, except PfMW, and both are blunt which gives you the equilivent of bonus thac0 vs most armor types and is only resisted by general physical resistance..and nothing is immune to blunt directly. In short, adding a tiny amount of fighter doesn't bring a whole lot to the table, especially if that spell-casting in illegal armor types issue is ever addressed.

    I need my Belkar fix... Was very glad to see he has recovered enough to atleast put them out again even if it is not as frequent as before.
