Me and my brother always pronounce it taco though write it THAC0. There's not much room for misunderstanding as one taco can be rolled and calculated, while the other cannot... not without making a mess that is.

I always pronounced it (in my head) like Waco (TX) Thay -k -oh and spell it as THAC0 where the 0 is a number not letter O (when I remember it symbolizes a zero) ;-)

Growing up my brother and friends would say it like @tj hooker. No idea if that's the proper way.

The proper way is to say "To Hit Armor Class Zero". ;)

And there I thought THAC0 would be properly pronounced in some fancy way like "thac-zero".

Back in 1E days when playing PNP with friends (before Thac0 was conceived for 2E) we always called it hac0 (like Hack-oh) which seemed fitting. Funny I always write the "T" in front now, but I often forget to say it when running PNP games.
