Slings, XBOWs or Bows?

  I never used a XBOW before, but my play through of BG:EE I equipped CHARNAME with an XBOW and quarterstaff; two weapons I've never used in BG before.
  
  I try to have all my characters use different weapon types as there are usually good weapons in each class. If everyone used long swords and longbows, you're going to be disappointed with the variety.

  Indeed! BTW what class is your CHARNAME? A thief or a Bard, perhaps? I recently started game with a Blade equipped with Scimitars and Crossbows...
