This is a great forum with a lot of interesting people participating. But as always, forums easily become somewhat anonymous. So, my question to you: Who are you IRL and who are you when playing BG? Education: Is well-read (who wouldn't be, growing up in a fortress library?) and has trained martial combat all of his life with Tharonia (OC), one of the Watchers of Candlekeep. He has also learned how to cast the divine spells of "Milil" by studying under Faerghus the Scribe (OC), a priest of Oghma.

Hobbies: Singing, dancing, playing on his lute, flirt with a fair maiden or two, vanquishing evil (by honoring love instead of destroying it... unless it's necessary to do so)

I think our dudes would get along, up until it came time to battle to the death for Viconia's affections. Then again, she's probably the type to be bored by such a display.

So, I'm curious, is your Paladin's actual patron Oghma, or some other deity? Not sure I understand, but it sounds interesting.
A professor had to let me borrow one of the smaller books I couldn't afford to buy last semester, and I felt awful about it. I felt even worse when I noticed it had been signed by the author. Lawful Evil characters don't have that kind of remorse. :P
Kono The Red, Battlepriest of Talos, is chaotic evil and best friends/"research collegues" with Xzar. He became obsessed with death after Gorion was killed and explores mortality ever since; mostly by killing people, failing to revive them and then wonder what happened to their essence. He gets along well with Montaron, too, but other than that, he has no preferences who to travel with. (Playing him since my first BG1 run.)
Treske Aijnissarim is a neutral evil assassin (mainly my BG2 charname) who was tricked by Edwin into becoming his bodyguard and keep the other Red Wizards away from him. Naturally, Treske despises Edwin for that, but he also depends on him for stealth and therefore has little choice. He sees Yoshimo as a rival and doesn't like or trust him, but gets along well with Korgan due to their similar humor. (Started him in BG2, but also played BG1 and BGEE with him).
Cathigheri, neutral evil jester, is the newest charname in BGEE. He is a mischievous trickster who is highly suspicious when it comes to arcane casters. He doesn't like any mages, mostly because he knows what tricks one can play with magic from his own (ab)use of it. He is prone to bad habits like drinking and most of all gambling. He gets along well with Eldoth and Safana, and he sees Baeloth as dangerous competition in the entertainment market (made worse due to the fact that Baeloth is a more powerful caster than Cathigheri).
So he is, in truth, a deityless paladin.
I know it doesn't work like that but heck that's how I roleplay it!

Now this is the tricky part, as most of my Charnames are based on characters I've written in my own stories. Being the sadistic writer that I am, I love kidnapping them and putting them in the shoes of the Charname for my own sick amusement. (Mwahahahahahaha)
There's three major ones that I've started in BG:EE (one of which was based on my BG2 playthrough) created to experience the game in three major ways: the good path, the evil path, and the female perspective. Two of them are my own characters, and one of them was made specifically for Baldur's Gate.
The "Good" Path:

Goal in life: To find his place in the world. And be happy with it.

Goal in life: To become a famous bard telling stories all across the realms. Little did she know that she herself would be the topic of many tales to come...
Buddies: Imoen, Minsc, Alora, Coran... Basically, anyone who's a spazz, or really mischievous. Though she's developed a soft-spot for a certain stiff Moon Monk.

Lol, pure coincidence ;p. I named my PC Kira because it is a way japanese people would say "Killer". In short, I haven't felt like being creative about naming my character ;p.
