Dragon Disciple primary attribute?

I guess this might require a developer response, but maybe some of you moddy people that dig around in the game files might have the answer also.

Now that Dragon Disciples are available in the game (hooray! :D) and I chose to restart my character I noticed that the Charisma attribute is locked somewhat high (at 15 or 16 I think?) and was wondering if it serves a similar purpose to Intelligence for Mages. Or is it merely a nod to Sorcerers in 3rd edition rules and a somewhat cosmetic thing?

So far Sorcerers in BG have not had any primary attribute. I doubt that has changed for DDisciples, but who knows...

Seems to be a mere nod. High attributes don't get arcane casters any bonus spells, nor is save DC based on attributes AFAICT.
