Neera can't cast identify

I cannot seem to get Neera to cast the Identify spell. She has it memorized, but for some reason it's always greyed out. Has anyone else had this problem?

    To cast Identify, open the description window for an unidentified item (i.e. one with a blue background), and click on the "Identify" button.

    The "Identify" button is only enabled if the character holding the item has Identify prepared, or a scroll available. You get to choose whether you want to use the scroll or spell.

    I haven't had a problem using it. You know you use it in the item's description, rather than the casting menu, correct?
