Launcher Issues

I purchased the game and it appeared to have downloaded. I went into the launcher and it advised me that 'Baldur's Gate Launcher Quit Unexpectedly'.

Any fixes for this problem? Also, if you need tech specs for my Mac, I am running a brand new IMac with OSX 10.8.2
