Robe of (Good) Archmagi + quarterstaff "stabbing" = invisibility

When I hit stuff with a quarterstaff while wearing the good archmage robe and the "stabbing" animation plays, my character temporarily turns invisible (just graphically, not mechanically) while the staff does not. It's only for the duration of the attack. I just had this happen 5 times in a row while beating some Tasloi in Cloakwood, so it's fairly easy to reproduce. The character model in question is Male Human, I do not know if other races/gender also suffers from this.
