Dorn's Starting Level

Is there anyway (besides hacks) to get Dorn less than level 2 at start, or is he like Shar-Teel in that regard? Seems he is level 2 even if I encounter him with two level 1 characters.

    With Dorn, it's your XP that counts, not your level. Your PC must have less than 2250 XP to get him at level 1.

    Why would Dorn's starting level be based off of XP but every other NPC's starting level be based on a calculation of your party member levels... sigh. Sad panda.

    Can someone tell me how to activate Dorn's question. He's in my party and I've been traveling with him, like forever, but for some reason it hasn't actived. can someone help me out?

    Talk to the woman outside the inn in Nashkel, her name is Taris I believe, that should get Dorn's quest started.
