BGEE Private Beta worth 10k$?

For everyone wondering what entering the private beta of BGEE would cost if you wanted to pay for it: http://i45.tinypic.com/51e2r.png

And no, I didn't fake it but I won't describe how to get there either. ;)

    The beta is currently private and by invitation only. Inviting members to the beta is a prerogative of the developers.

    I'd assume that he is one of the guys whose mod(s) gets integrated into BGEE and he was allowed into beta in return. At least his avatar suggests that he is a BG modder.

    @Mortes - No mods other than 1PP are being "integrated" into BG:EE that I'm aware of. The devs are taking inspiration from several bugfixing mods, which will continue to belong to their authors and will not become IP of WotC. Unless announced otherwise, of course.

    Heh, my current avatar was a spoof of the old Obama 'Hope' posters in 2008. None of my stuff is being integrated directly, but I've been known to mod from time to time.

    It used to be a pinned topic, but the fact that I can't find it any more probably means they're not looking for any more beta testers.

    ...which means I should quietly slink away before I get lynched.

    Actually, there was never a pinned topic - or a topic altogether - about the beta. There was one about becoming a moderator and/or volunteering for translations. The beta has always been private and by invitation only, and invitations are dispatched by developers.

    Nah don't worry, I played ONE beta in my life - Diablo 3. One... is enough O_O

    Just a month and a half to wait... No big deal :) If I had to wait a full year, then I'll rage to be chosen as beta tester hahaha :D

    Being a tester means a lot of work for free, so not being invited is not necessarily a bad thing.
