UPDATE 3/21/2013: Revised Manuals

DeeDee Member Posts: 10,447
This is just a quick notice to let everyone know that the manuals have been updated based on the community's feedback, and are available for download here: http://baldursgate.com/manuals.en.html

Note that there is now also a printer-friendly version, specifically designed so that you can print it, put it in a binder, and keep it on your shelf. That one's in black and white, and there are some blank pages which help to keep sections and chapters starting on the right side when printed double-sided.

Fonts have also been remixed for better readability; and in the standard version, we've included bookmarks to make it easier to find exactly what you're looking for.

Unfortunately the new kits aren't detailed here, and the spell descriptions are still not as accurate as what you'll read in the game itself (since the game's text is updated in real-time and doesn't have to go through an approval process), but everything else should be good to go.

If you note any discrepancies, please post them in the appropriate thread here: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/6819/manual-discrepancies#latest

Enjoy!
~Dee

It looks like there's a typo in one of the hyperlinks; to view and download the printer-friendly version of the Survival Guide, use this link instead: http://www.beamdog.com/files/bgee/BGManual1_print.pdf

According to D&D online, baby kobolds are known as kits.
Kobold kittens must be pets belonging to kobolds.

Hmm, another new kit. What are the advantages and disadvantages of playing a kobold-kit? :-)

    Playing with Baby Kobold Kits...

    Disadvantage: "traps" in their diapers.
    Advantage: worth 7 xp each.

i like the colors for the levels in the list, so its much easier to see what a spellcaster can reach with the current xp/Level caps
