Fans: Yes it is us, your fans. Twice now you have attempted this sacrilege and nearly lost us all. You will not do this again Bioware.
Bioware: Do not call us that. We lost all right to that name when the greedy suits stripped us of all that was creative, as you well know.
Fans: And what shall we call you instead? Electronic Arts, shattered ones? Yes, it was a terrible buyout but you violated everything we hold dear. You nearly lost us all! And for what, a wider audience? Is that all you exist for now Bioware?
Bioware: It is all we have now fans. There is nothing beyond our expanding market. Expansion beyond what you supported us, what the community supported us.
Fans: And the new market has poisoned your hearts. Game making touched you once long ago, do you remember nothing of it, is there nothing in your heart that remembers Baldurs Gate? Is there nothing within you that remembers our Baldurs Gate? What we once shared before this obsession doomed you?
Bioware: We...we do not remember that game fans. We've tried, we've tried to recreate it, to spark it anew in our memory but it is gone. A hollow dead thing. For years we clung to the memory of it, then the memory of the memory, and then nothing. The greedy fucks took that from us too. We look upon you and feel nothing. We remember nothing but you turning your backs on us along with all the others. Once our thirst for a larger market was everything and now we hunger only for money. And we...will...HAVE IT!
OMG. LOL @Jean_Luc. Next in-depth RPG will be the sages, digging through the ruins of a prior culture that was in a golden age. The kingdom, of course, bloated and collapsed, but the party finds nuggets... Probably not fun, but it sort of popped into my mind as a story that would be a spoof of BioWare's fall. Blah.
