What will modders be able to do that they couldn't before without the source code. I mean Tutu,BGT, and other things such as Big World Project alone make BG1 and BG2 so much better.

What are some examples of changes and created content could be made with it available?

    Anything. The rules, the pathfinding, the entire rendering engine. It could be turned into an MMO, a strategy game or a bittorent client. But of course the developers are not releasing the source code for obvious copyright and licensing reasons.

    BD had to get licensed to receive the source code. There is no chance that it gets released to the public.

    The modding scene has asked for this since day one. Bioware isn't going to give it away.
