Bug concerning Durlag's Tower

I encountered a major bug while doing Durlag's Tower level 2. I entered the second level but then decided to leave the dungeon in order to sell stuff and do some other quests before returning. The problem is that when I returned several ingame days later the items on the floor had disappeared. For the books that isn't really a problem but in the throne room you have to pick up a helm to trigger an encounter. But with the helm gone I am stuck.
Hopefully this bug can be fixed in the next patch but my question now is can I work around it? Is it possible to reset the area with the console?
